In the protest against the attack of daily Bakkhali editor Saiful Islam Chowdhury, Inter-District Newspaper Hawker Association has boycotted selling local newspapers.
The president of the association Shahidul Islam claimed that drug traders attacked on journalist Saiful Islam Chowdhury, a reputed editor of Daily Bakkhali, on the purpose of killing him in a planned manner. Daily Bakkhali editor can not be rumored by the attack on the case. It has been proven earlier.
The protesters stopped selling the local newspapers in Chakaria, Pekua, Ukhiya, Teknaf, Eidgaho, Kutubdia, Moheshkhali and Ramu with the Cox’s Bazar City protesting in the spell.
Md. Monir, general secretary of Inter-District Hawker Association, thanked everyone for keeping the newspapers sold off .
It is to be noted that on July 24, drug addicts, Tazu, from Lama, Bandarban attacked on editor Saiful Islam Chowdhury with the help of drug dealers of the city of Cox’s Bazar brutally. The attacker was immediately rescued and handed over to the police.
Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station has filed a case against 4 people including Taju.
The arrested accused Taju was sent to jail custody. Cox’s Bazar Model Thana and DB police sources said that the operation will be conducted soon to arrest the criminals and other defendants.
