Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities concerned to ensure widespread security to the people of minority groups.
Mentioning Bangladesh a country of communal harmony, she further said that every citizen here will enjoy equal rights and it is a duty of all to ensure security to the minorities.
The premier made the assertion Saturday afternoon (Saturday 12) at her Ganabhaban official residence in city at a video conference with the people of Rajshahi division.
“Islam is a religion of peace, all religions too. The government will not allow anyone to create anarchy in the name of religion.”
Sheikh Hasina also instructed all to assist local administration so that no one can carry out subversive attack in society.
